OVERVIEW

The Harding Icefield Hike is one of the most iconic day hikes in Alaska — and one of the most rewarding. This full-day guided adventure climbs from valley floor forest into alpine terrain high above Kenai Fjords National Park, ending with breathtaking views of the massive Harding Icefield.

Along the way, you’ll move through several distinct ecosystems, from lush forest to open meadows to rugged mountain terrain. As you gain elevation, the scenery keeps getting bigger — towering peaks, hanging glaciers, and eventually the seemingly endless ice of the Harding Icefield spreading out before you.

This is a serious hike, but for guests who are up for the challenge, it delivers one of the most unforgettable trail experiences in Seward.

The live page already positions this as a challenging full-day hike to panoramic Harding Icefield views through forest, alpine meadows, and rugged terrain.
