TRIP DETAILS & ITINERARY

Our experienced rafting guides take guests rafting down a stretch of the “Upper” Kenai River for a thrilling 7 to 8 mile rafting adventure! KBA specializes in rafting glacial rivers, and the Kenai River offers amazing sightseeing, and “spirited” rafting for those seeking thrills.

This is an interactive, team adventure that involves everyone paddling the raft with precise direction from your guide. Everyone will participate as it takes the whole raft team to maneuver the raft down the river. However, with enough paddlers, there is the option for some guests to not paddle.

Your adventure begins with a courtesy pickup in Seward, or meeting on-site in Cooper Landing. For folks departing from Seward, ground transportation from Seward to Cooper Landing is included (~45 minute drive). Prior to getting in the raft your guide will conduct an important safety briefing. Once everyone is in the raft, your guide will run you through a series of instructional paddle strokes, commands, and maneuvers.

Once everyone is ready, including your guide, you will begin your rafting adventure down the swift currents of the Kenai River.

Every trip is different as the river is constantly flowing at different rates through this dynamic landscape. The river is surrounded by towering mountains on both sides which showcases the gorgeous nature of the area’s diverse environment.

After floating the river for about 7 to 8 miles, you will stop at our designated take-out. After some high-fives, and laughs you’ll be transported back to where your trip started.

*The longer trip duration for the Seward departure is due to the included round-trip ground transportation from Seward to Cooper Landing. We average 2-3 hours longer for the drive time, plus pick-ups and drop-offs.
