• Some people may find this terrain difficult to travel in
• We regularly walk distances of 1-3+ miles during the tour
• The further you can hike the more opportunities we have to access different parts of the area
• The terrain is soft sandy beach, muddy and slippery estuaries, and lots of stepping up and down and over muddy, slippery sloughs, possible small creek crossings.

• Rubber boots or hip boots (not needed for all areas)

Important Notes

• Please arrive 60 minutes early to check-in and get set up
• There are no bathrooms in the plane, or in the backcountry, though facilities are available before and after your tour
• You must have a reasonable level of fitness and be able to walk the distances listed on soft, muddy, slippery, and uneven terrain
• Children/Youth must be able to hike the distances listed, and must be well behaved and mindful of guide/parent/guardian instruction. For families with young children consider booking a private trip (call for details). Under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

What to Bring

• Bring snacks, and a water bottle (water can be filled at our office)
• Sturdy, well broken-in hiking boots or shoes
• Waterproof rain jacket required, rain pants highly recommended
• Dress for current weather conditions
• Camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, and any personal items
• Cash or Venmo for pilot & guide gratuities (recommended!)
