1 | KENAI, AK to TUXEDNI BAY LODGE
Imagine arriving at our Kenai Flight Office at 1:00pm, excitement building as you board a bush plane for a breathtaking flight over Alaska’s untamed wilderness; flight departs at 2:00pm. In just 45 minutes, you’ll find yourself landing at our secluded Tuxedni Bay Lodge, nestled along the pristine shores of Tuxedni Bay. After settling into your cozy cabin, you’ll join fellow adventurers for a family-style dinner where stories are shared, and the anticipation of tomorrow’s adventures fills the air. As evening falls, you may choose to venture out for an unforgettable bear-viewing session, watching these majestic animals in the glow of an Alaskan sunset.
2 | TUXEDNI BAY LODGE
The next morning greets you with the aroma of hot coffee, tea, and a hearty Alaskan breakfast in our welcoming day lodge. As you savor a warm meal, you’ll be fueled for the day’s exploration. Soon after, you’ll join our expert guides on a morning excursion into bear country, where you’ll witness bears foraging, playing, and roaming free against the stunning backdrop of Alaska’s rugged landscapes. After a midday break and lunch, you’re off again, exploring more of Tuxedni’s wilderness. From unique volcanic formations to scenic coastal trails, every step immerses you deeper into this wild paradise. Evening brings you back to the lodge for a cozy dinner, where you can unwind and share the day’s memories with fellow travelers. Later, relax by the bonfire, swap stories, or head out for a final evening wildlife encounter as the midnight sun “bear-ly” sets.
3 | TUXEDNI BAY LODGE to KENAI, AK
On your final day, you’ll start with a warm cup of coffee or tea and a delicious breakfast, fueling up for one last morning of bear-viewing. With these precious moments spent alongside Alaska’s incredible wildlife, you’ll find a new appreciation for the beauty of this remote paradise. After a farewell lunch, it’s time to say goodbye to Tuxedni Bay, boarding your plane around 3:15 PM for a scenic flight back to Kenai, arriving at approximately 4:00 PM, forever changed by your journey into Alaska’s wild heart.

What to Expect
Difficulty Level: Moderate
Expect 3-5+ miles of walking daily on variable terrain such as sandy beaches, muddy estuaries, and soft, slippery grounds. Those comfortable with extended hikes will have greater access to remote viewing areas.
