Kenai Backcountry Adventures offers bear viewing trips in a few different areas of Alaska. Our trips are more remote so you can see bears in their natural habitat away from the dozens of camera flashes and whistles and shouts to garner a bear’s attention that are common place with many of the mainstream bear viewing destinations.

Our bear viewing trips in remote areas usually involve hiking so please review the individual trips to make sure you book the one most appropriate for you. Our bear viewing trips range from 6 hour hike-in trips, all the way to multi-day bear viewing adventures!

Another interesting thing about Kenai Backcountry Adventures is that just about everywhere we seem to adventure, there are usually bears there too. So… If you want to see bears but also want to participate in other activities, please check out our Adventures page or give us a call and we’ll put you on the ultimate adventure!

Alaska Bear Viewing Preparation
There’s not much preparation involved in bear viewing trips unless your taking one of our multi-day trips. On day trips we recommend that you have a small backpack to keep your belongings such as rain gear, layers, camera, extra batteries, snacks, water, etc.

Our trips are remote so it may entail hiking over uneven ground, rocks, mud, stream crossings, etc. There will be no platforms, observation decks, or urban-style walkways. Prior to booking your trip, we will make you aware of potential obstacles and hazards so you we can all make sure it’s the best trip for you.

Give us a call or drop us an email if you have any questions at all. We’re happy to discuss the best options for you, your family, or your group.
