Important Notes
- Please arrive 60 minutes early to check-in and get set up
- There are no bathrooms in the backcountry, so bathroom breaks are done nature-style
- You must be able to walk on uneven, soft, steep, rocky, and slippery terrain for up to 3-5+ miles per day
- Under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult

- Bring snacks, and a water bottle (water can be filled at our office)
- Backpack size 30-40 liters (rental packs available at checkout)
- Sturdy well broken-in hiking boots or hiking shoes
- Waterproof rain jacket and rain pants required
- Gloves – for hand protection
- Bring layer, dress for current weather conditions

Once we land, we’ll strap on our crampons and make our way deep into the glacier, where you’ll see the incredible natural ice formations up close. Our expert guides will lead you through the maze of ice caves, pointing out unique features and sharing their knowledge of glaciology.

Itinerary
DAY 1:
- 7:00am check-in and get set up at our Kenai flight office
- 10:00am approx 45 minute floatplane flight to the mountain zone
- Set up camp and get situated
- Hiking and exploring all day with lunch in the tundra or at base camp
- Hike back to base camp for dinner and revelry
- After dinner hike or mountain games
DAY 2:
- Coffee is up at 6:15am
- Breakfast in the gathering tent 7-8am
- Hiking and exploring all day with lunch in the tundra or at base camp
- Daily activities – Ice Cave exploration, alpine ridge hiking, glacier hiking, peak bagging
- Hike back to base camp for dinner and revelry
- After dinner hike or mountain games
DAY 3:
- Coffee is up at 6:15am
- Breakfast in the gathering tent 7-8am
- Hiking and exploring all day with lunch in the tundra or at base camp
