ADVENTURE: Exit Glacier Ice Hiking Adventure
POINTS OF INTEREST:
The cloudy overcast weather at the start of today’s adventure had a ‘Lord of the Rings’ feel to it. Luckily the overcast weather didn’t last too long. The sun broke through and it ended up being a hot, sunny, beautiful day, just like one would experience in the Shire!
WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS:
Sparrow, Varied Thrush
MEMORABLE MOMENTS:
The birds were out and about enjoying the blue skies as well today. The group observed them collecting seeds and singing all along the Harding Icefield Trail. Just like the party trekked up the Lonely Mountain, our trio made their way safely across Exit Glacier, peering into crevasses and viewing the wildflowers on either side of the glacier.
