TRIP REPORT

ADVENTURE: Packrafting on the Kenai River
POINTS OF INTEREST:
Bald eagle on the side of the river eating a fish. Lots of fisherman out along the river today!
WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS:
Lots of Bald Eagles, Mergansers, Salmon, and a Black Bear (on the drive over).
MEMORABLE MOMENTS:
Rain didn’t stop this group from having fun! This small group (including one very happy member of the KBA office staff) took to the river somewhat tentatively despite the drizzling rain. By the end of the 8-mile stretch of river, the group was exhausted but smiling from ear to ear. Whoops of joy could be heard as one by one each group member hit each wave in the rapids. It was a challenging yet super fun day for sure!
