TRIP REPORT
DATE: June 24th to June 29th, 2022
ADVENTURE: Fly-In River Rafting ExpeditionÂ
POINTS OF INTEREST:
This expedition was EPIC!! Six days rafting, camping and exploring the Alaskan Backcountry! This group of 8 gave their all every single day! It was an awesome, challenging, fun, relaxing, adventurous trip! The flight over was insane! We flew over braided rivers and beautiful snowy mountains! We say three moose and one bear from the plane!
WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS:
Five moose, Bear, Beaver, Bear tracks, Coyote tracks, Moose tracks and Moose Antlers.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS:
On the fourth day we hit some GOOD rapids! Class three. The waves were splashing over our heads, and the rafts were disappearing into the waves. It was short lived but thrilling! We had to pullover on the side of the river to dump water out of the rafts, everyones boots and put some dry clothes on. At the end of the 6th day before the float plane came to pick us up, we calculated how far we rafted. We went a total of 51 miles!! What a solid week in the Backcountry!
