EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES 2023

By October 20, 2022January 24th, 2023Employment

Kenai Backcountry Adventures is hiring for the 2023 summer season!

Kenai Backcountry Adventures operates in a variety of wilderness land units that span several regions of Alaska in challenging, austere environments, encompassing millions of acres of terrain.

Guiding trips for KBA requires a dedication to the outdoor industry and a passion for adventure in some of the world’s most remote and beautiful locations.

Qualifications for a guide position include, but are not limited to: extensive outdoor experience, a variety of teaching and guiding styles, a high-level of physical fitness, mental toughness/fortitude, and a very high-degree of professionalism.

Our guides are athletes. In order to remain successful throughout a season, guides need to take care of their minds and bodies like athletes. Party animals are better suited for other “guide” jobs, as they won’t survive a season.

*All guide candidates must have a current WFR credential (or equivalent) by the time they start the season.

We are currently hiring for the positions listed below. These positions are based and located in Seward, Alaska, unless otherwise notated. Guides are required to be in Seward, by the end of April, to attend a company orientation, and a training program that commences at the beginning of May, prior to working trips in the field. The season will conclude at the end of September, unless otherwise notated.

Please, follow these steps to be considered for any of our opportunities:

  1. Complete an online application
  2. Email your resume, and cover letter to fun @ kbaalaska.com
